VHE has just received an order to fabricate three 1/2" R2AT FLEXOR 2SN-MT Alfagomma hydraulic hoses, crimped with 1/2'' JIC fittings, and further protected with an external stainless steel braid and an outer water hose covering. This comprehensive protection aims to shield the hydraulic hoses from adverse environmental impacts and mechanical stresses, thereby extending the lifespan of the hydraulic system.
Alfagomma Flexor Minetuff Hydraulic Hose Features
- Standards: ISO 1436-1 – SAE 100 R2AT – EN 853 2SN
- Material: Seamless synthetic rubber with excellent oil resistance.
- Cover Type: Smooth cover for sizes 1" and below; wrapped (textured) cover for sizes 1" and above.
- Reinforcement: Two layers of high-tensile steel wire braid, ensuring robustness and durability.
- Durability: Highly resistant to abrasion, oxidation, and harsh weather conditions.
- Temperature Range: -40°C -> 100°C (-40°F -> 212°F).
Other Common Protective Sleeves Offered by VHE

Steel Spring Guards: Made from galvanized elastic steel, these provide robust protection against abrasion, punctures, and impacts from heavy machinery or rough terrain. Commonly used in construction equipment and heavy-duty machinery.
Plastic Spiral Wrap (Conduit): Typically made from high-density polyethylene (PE) or polypropylene (PP). Lightweight, flexible, and easy to install, and offers protection against minor abrasion, impact, and UV radiation. An economical solution for basic protection.
Insulated Sleeves (PJ Cover): The inner layer features a dust-resistant, chemical-resistant resin-coated fiberglass weave, ideal for harsh weather conditions, high impact, oxidation, UV, and ozone. The outer layer is a premium silicone coating, capable of withstanding temperatures up to 540°C (1000°F).
